hmm. it's tricky with dental surgery. i've heard of people passing out from the post-surgery pain of having wisdom teeth out. and i had all mine out, and saved the serious painkillas for if i really needed them somewhere down the track...

i think it all depends how badly the nerves in there get muddled.

Well, the pain is often due to dry socket. Most of the recovery period is just discomfort nowadays. It's best to restrict your diet during that time, since trying to chew will hurt your mouth and increase the chances of dry socket.

That was pretty hilarious! The tooth is loose already - how can it hurt? heheh. I guess the old lady has other reasons for her dental visit. Maybe she needs a mouthpiece or something to avoid losing tooth.
